Musa Bomani trained as an Egyptologist, but turned to the dark side, when he discovered that he could sell ancient artifacts from the dig sites he'd been working on for big money - to collectors who did not care how they came by their collections. He secretly stole small relics, gradually working his way up the antiquities chain.
One day he was contacted by Baron Richthofen, changing the course of his life. The Baron paid more money regularly, even when they did not find buried treasures. And did not mind that some of the artifacts mysteriously vanished. Provided that such profiteering did not interfere with his work.
Musa works with Safiya Sabuka, a researcher who goes that extra mile to obtain clues to the whereabouts of her famous, long lost, and distant relative; Cleopatra. He is wary of her, having seen how deadly she can be, even though she cuts him a lot of slack and sometimes come on to him, especially after a mission success.
Musa is a competent diver and boat handler. He is medium height and muscular, from doing a lot of the donkey work, loading and unloading antiquities. Musa and Sabuka work well together to locate Cleopatra's tomb and recover the Pharaoh Queen's sarcophagus, as buddy divers.
Musa works for the secret society known as NeuWelt Rittertum.
