Adolf needed a faithful following to help him pull off the impossible. He would need to form a special group, if Joseph Mengele's plan was to stand any chance of success. The 'Circle of Six' was born.

BLETCHLEY PARK, ENGLAND - WORLD WAR TWO: A NEW DAWN

The renaissance was a fervent period of European cultural, artistic, political and economic “rebirth” following the Middle Ages, and world war one fostered automotive mechanization. Medical science was advancing along with other technology and an understanding of electricity, but nothing close to that required to recreate a human from their own code.

Then in world war two, the beginnings of computer science took its first steps with the British trying to crack the Enigma code at Bletchley Park, with the brilliant Alan Turing at the helm. In tandem, in the bloodbaths of Germany's concentration camps, studies of prisoners in Buchenwald by Joseph Mengele, dubbed "the angel of death" heralded experiments that would eventually lead to cloning. His work if financially underpinned by no less than Adolf Hitler, would be bound to give him a free hand to unimaginable cruelties.

ENIGMA: ALAN TURING'S RAW DEAL

During WW2, German intelligence relied on coded messages. Knowing this and unable to crack their code, the British committed their best brains to finding a solution.

Alan Turing, the brilliant mathematician and codebreaker, was at the forefront of the effort to decipher the German Enigma code. His work at Bletchley Park was crucial to the Allied war effort, but the task was daunting. The Colossus machine, while a technological marvel, was not yet fast or powerful enough to crack the complex Enigma encryption in sufficient time for the messages to be acted upon to advantage. And the codes changed daily, rendering present time solutions useless and redundant in follow on days.

Despair began to creep into Turing's mind. He spent countless hours poring over encrypted messages, searching for patterns and weaknesses. Yet, the Enigma remained an elusive puzzle.

One night, as Turing drifted off to sleep, he was visited by an extraordinary figure. Anubis, the ancient Egyptian god of death, appeared before him, his spectral form radiating an otherworldly aura.

"The key to breaking the Enigma lies not in the machine itself, but in the minds of its operators," Anubis declared. "Look beyond the code, Alan. Pay attention to the human element."

Turing was drawn to the muscular build of Anubis. "What is the human element I seek, oh mysterious stranger?"

"Use your brilliance Alan, and I will return to rejoice in your accomplishments."

Reluctant at first to give credence to a dream, yet, a seed of doubt had been planted in his mind. He began to question the traditional approach to cracking codes. One of his obsessions when a schoolboy.

Intrigued by the divine message and the form of the messenger, Turing awoke with a renewed sense of purpose. He began to analyze the intercepted messages, not just for their encrypted content, but also for the metadata. He studied the timing of the messages, the frequency of transmission, and the patterns in the operators' behavior. What did his spectral visitor mean?

Turing realized that the German operators, like any human, were prone to errors and inconsistencies. They might introduce minor variations in their procedures, or leave subtle clues in their messages. By identifying these patterns, Turing and his team could exploit the weaknesses in the Enigma system.

Turing began to analyze the intercepted German messages more closely. He noticed patterns in the operators' behavior, their language, and their mistakes. By studying the "chatter" between the operators, he was able to identify weaknesses in the Enigma system.

With this new approach, the codebreakers at Bletchley Park made significant progress. They were able to decipher more and more messages, providing invaluable intelligence to the Allied forces. Turing's divine intervention had not only saved countless lives but also accelerated the end of the war.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL TORTURE

Alan Turing's brilliance was undeniable, but his life was marked by tragedy. His homosexuality, a crime in 1950s Britain, led to his persecution and eventual conviction. The chemical castration he was ordered to endure was a cruel and inhumane punishment, designed to suppress his natural inclinations.

In the darkest hours of his ordeal, when despair threatened to consume him, Isis, the goddess of life, appeared to him in a dream. She offered him solace and strength, reminding him of his invaluable contributions to the world.

"Your mind is a gift, Alan," she said. "Do not let them extinguish it."

Isis urged him to resist the attempts to suppress his identity and to continue his groundbreaking work. She assured him that his legacy would endure, inspiring generations to come.

Isis returned to Alan's dreams time and again. She reminded him of the countless lives that depended on his contributions to the war effort and the potential for his inventions to shape the future. 

"Do not lose hope, Alan," she said, her voice soothing and compassionate. "Your work is vital, your mind is a gift to the world."

Isis urged Anubis to reinforce her encouragements from a male point of view. As a reward, Anubis returned to Turing's sleep.

"Alan," said Anubis, "Isis has said it all, though I promised to join you in celebration, and here I am to give praise."

Unusually, Anubis dressed to please, knowing his muscularity appealed.

"You did come back. Thank you mysterious phantom of my dreams."

"You may call on me again as you feel the need for strength in the coming months."

Alan reached out to touch those strong arms, it all felt so real.

"You will be welcomed into the Afterlife Alan, to spite all those who wronged you."

Empowered by the divine intervention, Turing found the courage to endure the hardships. He refused to be broken, his spirit steady. His contributions to computer science and artificial intelligence continue to shape the world we live in today. Many learned institutions are so named in honour of his sacrifices. Anubis spoke the truth.

The tragic story of Alan Turing serves as a reminder of the human cost of prejudice and intolerance. His legacy, however, is one of resilience, innovation, and the enduring power of the human spirit.

THE HORRORS OF WAR

As the 20th century unfolded, the horrors of war and the depths of human cruelty were laid bare. Yet, amidst the darkness, a glimmer of hope emerged. Scientists, driven by a thirst for knowledge, delved into the mysteries of genetics and biology. They were on the cusp of a breakthrough that would forever change the course of human history.

Anubis, the guardian of the underworld, watched over the world with a mix of curiosity and concern. The human race, once a fledgling species, had evolved at an astonishing pace. The horrors of war had given rise to both destruction and innovation.

"Isis," he called out to the goddess of life, "the humans have delved into the mysteries of the universe. They have harnessed the power of the atom and begun to unravel the secrets of life itself."

Isis, her eyes filled with both wonder and apprehension, replied, "Indeed, Anubis. Their advancements have brought both great promise and great peril. The potential for both creation and destruction is immense."

"And what of Cleopatra?" Anubis asked, his voice filled with hope. "Is her time drawing near?"

Isis pondered the question. 

"The stars align, and the universe shifts. The conditions for her rebirth are growing favorable. However, the path to a new life is fraught with challenges. The humans, in their pursuit of knowledge, have stumbled upon a dark secret: the power to manipulate life itself."

"You speak of the work of the mortal known as Mengele," Anubis interjected. "His experiments, born of cruelty and obsession, have laid the foundation for a dangerous future."

Isis nodded solemnly. 

"The line between creation and destruction is thin. Living humans must learn to use their newfound power with wisdom and compassion. Only then can they truly harness the potential of life."

Isis, the goddess of life and death, turned her attention to the troubled earth. "Indeed, Anubis. The experiments conducted by the humans, though fraught with darkness, may hold the key to a new era of rebirth."

Anubis nodded, his divine eyes filled with hope. "Perhaps, with the advancement of their technology, they may one day be able to reanimate the dead. A new dawn, a chance for souls like Cleopatra to return to the mortal realm."

As they spoke, the human world was on the brink of a new era, an era of quantum leaps and scientific breakthroughs. The seeds of genetic engineering were being sown, and with each passing day, the possibility of reanimating the dead grew closer.

Anubis gazed into the future, a vision of a world transformed. 

"Perhaps, in this new era, Cleopatra will find the perfect vessel for her rebirth. A body that is both strong and compassionate, a mind that is both wise and curious."

Isis smiled, her eyes twinkling with anticipation. 

"The time may come, Anubis. The time when the boundaries between life and death blur. When the ancient prophecies are fulfilled."

Anubis returned. 

"Hope endures, Isis. Even in the darkest of times, the light of life prevails."
