INTERPOL ISSUE RED NOTICE  -  الإنتربول يصدر نشرة حمراء

كانت وزارة الآثار المصرية تراقب ساحل الإسكندرية بعد الزلزال، بحثًا عن هزات ارتدادية زلزالية دقيقة. ولم تسفر عملية مسح قصيرة للغاية تحت الماء لتلك المنطقة من الساحل باستخدام مركبات تعمل تحت الماء عن الكثير من المعلومات المفيدة. وتجاهلت التقارير الإعلامية التي تحدثت عن العثور على أحمد صالح، باستثناء المتابعة الروتينية. ولم تجد مزاعمه ذات مصداقية. ولكن عندما اكتشفت أنه تم تسجيله كشخص مفقود من قبل أحد أفراد طاقمه، زاد ذلك من حدة الأمور.

في روما، كانت الكنيسة الكاثوليكية أكثر من قلقة قليلاً. علم الفاتيكان من الإنتربول، أن جمعية سرية غامضة، تتألف من أحفاد مجرمي الحرب النازيين الهاربين، كانت تتجول في أنحاء مصر بحثًا عن حتشبسوت ونفرتيتي. ولكن دون جدوى. والآن انتقلت المنظمة النازية الجديدة المشتبه بها إلى تابوزيريس ماجنا، على افتراض أن اهتمامها يكمن في العثور على مكان وجود الفرعون المفقود؛ كليوباترا السابعة.

أين كان محققهم الأنثروبولوجي الخبير عندما كان كل هذا يحدث؟ كان في الأمازون يطارد شائعات عن الرجل البنمي الذي يركض. ما علاقة ذلك بمدينة غارقة وزلزال وقع قبل ألف وستمائة وستين عامًا؟

كان الفاتيكان يخشى الأسوأ سراً، باعتباره النتيجة الواضحة إذا نجح الخصوم. القيامة الزائفة لملكة فرعون، لتقويض تصور الجمهور إلى حد ما عن المسيح، باعتبارها فريدة من نوعها، مما يوحي بأن المعتقدات المصرية كانت لها السيادة. بما أن كليوباترا السابعة توفيت قبل ثلاثين عامًا فقط من ولادة ابن الله. لكن كل هذا كان تكهنات خلف الأبواب المغلقة. كانت الرواية الرسمية تشير إلى انتهاك مشتبه به لاتفاقية لاهاي قيد التنفيذ - حتى وإن لم يكن أثناء صراع، وبالتأكيد تمويل ومساعدة وتحريض ما يمكن اعتباره أنشطة إرهابية. جذب انتباه Blue Shield وUNESCO. إن تدنيس مقبرة ذات أهمية دولية، حيث أن الإزالة غير المصرح بها لقطعة أثرية من التراث الثقافي، مثل تابوت كليوباترا، من شأنه أن يشكل تخريبًا كبيرًا وخسارة كبيرة لأيقونة وطنية لمصر، وهو أمر لا يمكن تحمله.

لقد كان الفاتيكان يعتقد أن حظًا سعيدًا في ذلك، ولكن لا يمكن للمرء أن يكون حذرًا للغاية مع وجود الكثير على المحك.

كان جاك ماسون قد استقل مروحية من لانجلي إلى قاعدة أندروز الجوية، ثم استقل طائرة مقاتلة إلى حاملة طائرات تعمل في جنوب المحيط الأطلسي، على بعد بضع مئات من الأميال شرق غويانا الفرنسية. ومن هناك جمع فريقًا لقيادة طائرة هليكوبتر إلى الأمازون على مسافة بعيدة عن مانوس. ولم تكن هناك حاجة للإعلان عن قدومهم. كان لابد أن تكون طائرة سيكورسكي SH60 سي هوك، حيث لا تتمتع طائرة بلاك هوك بالمدى الكافي لاختراق هذا البعد الداخلي، والعودة بأمان. ومع ذلك، فإن حاملة الطائرات ستأخذهم إلى أقرب مكان ممكن من الشاطئ.

The Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities had been monitoring the Alexandrian coast after the quake, looking for minute seismic aftershocks. A very brief underwater survey of that area of coastline with submersible ROVs, did not yield much useful information. They ignored media reports telling of Ahmed Saleh's find, except for a routine follow up. Not finding his claims credible. But when they found he had been registered as a missing person by one of his crew, that ramped things up quite a bit.

In Rome, the Catholic Church were more than a little concerned. The Vatican knew from Interpol, that an occultist secret society, comprised of descendents from escaped Nazi war criminals, had been sniffing around Egypt looking for Hatshepsut and Nefertiti. Unsuccessfully. Now the suspected Neo-Nazi like organization had moved to Taposiris Magna, presuming their interests lay in finding the whereabouts of the lost Pharaoh; Cleopatra VII.

Where was their expert anthropological investigator when all this was going on. He was up the Amazon chasing rumors of the Panamanian Running Man. What had that to do with a sunken city and a sixteen hundred and sixty year old earthquake?

Secretly, the Vatican feared the worst, as the obvious outcome if the antagonists were successful. The psuedo resurrection of a Pharaoh Queen, to in some measure undermine the public perception of that of Christ, as being unique, suggestive that Egyptian beliefs held sway. Since Cleopatra VII died just 30 years before the birth of the Son of God. But all of this was behind closed doors speculation. The official version was a suspected violation of the Hague Convention in process - even though not during a conflict, certainly funding, aiding and abetting what could be perceived as terrorist activities. Attracting the attention of Blue Shield and UNESCO. The desecration of a tomb of international importance, where the unauthorized removal of a cultural heritage artifact, such as Cleopatra's sarcophagus, would constitute major vandalism and significant loss of a National icon for Egypt, that was beyond price. 

Good luck with that the Vatican thought, but one cannot be too careful with so much at stake.

The Pontiff did not push a few buttons. He pushed all of them.

That meant MI6 getting in on the act, to cover up the theft of the UK's DNA database, putting millions at risk as to data protection infringement. The Minister's head was on the chopping block, with the PM breathing down his neck. Jack Mason was hauled in to have words with head of black ops at Langley, Virginia. The big cheeses at UNESCO were also on the case, leaning on Interpol, who finally issues a Red Notice, involving Blue Shield. MI6 and the CIA appointed Jack Mason as go between. Impressing on him the urgency of the situation.

Jack Mason, took a chopper from Langley to Andrews air force base, then a fighter jet to an aircraft carrier operating in the South Atlantic, a few hundred miles east of French Guiana. From there he assembled a team to helicopter into the Amazon some way distant to Manaus. No need to advertise they were coming. It would have to be a Sikorsky SH60 Seahawk, the Black Hawk not quite having the range to penetrate that far inland, and make a safe return. Though, the carrier would take them as close inshore as they dare.

CHAPTER 15. REPLICANT - The Society reproduce Cleopatra using Francisco's RepliVator™, uploading synapse sequence and implanted memories.

CHAPTER 16. FULL STEAM AHEAD - Storm speeds to Thonis, then uses the Swann's AI sensors and the Ark database to find tomb has been plundered.

CHAPTER 17. RITUAL SACRIFICE - The Baron prepares a drugged Cleopatra for ceremonial impregnation.

CHAPTER 18. SANCTUM INTERRUPTUS - John finds secret Nazi hideout near Alexandria, disturbs ritual - rescues Cleopatra, arresting conspirators.

CHAPTER 19. THE CHOSEN ONE - The reincarnated Cleopatra falls for her rescuer. John comes under her spell, despite her being a replicant.

CHAPTER 20. MILITARY INTERVENTION - The military detain Cleopatra to appease stakeholders, despite media & medical protests. Storm distraught.
