Imagine a world where politics was pure, untainted by conflicts of interest, such as party political donations.
Imagine a world without procurement fraud.
Imagine a world where paper money is index linked to farming produce. So, preventing un-sustainable, or irresponsible lending.
Imagine a world based on cheap renewable energy, and zero carbon homes and transport. How might that help to alleviate poverty and climate change?
Difficult to imagine isn't it?
Our present administrations appear to be founded on historic policies and statute that are fundamentally flawed. The electorate have been brainwashed for so long into thinking that is okay, that they tend to vote for the same old networks and political parties, regardless of the mess they have created before - borrowing to pay back borrowing - and with no change in policies as part of an election campaign, let alone cast-iron promises to do better.
SDGS - SUSTAINABILITY DEVELOPMENT GOALS
Against this background, the United Nations came up with development "Goals." They could not come up with anything stronger, such as creating international statute, because even where they do so, many of the Group of Seven (G7) totally ignore the law, such as the use of nuclear weapons - which is now illegal, but Russia, China, the USA, North Korea and the UK, are ignoring. These are just examples.
