SCENE: OLDUVIA GORGE, TANZANIA, EAST AFRICA - THE STORM BREAKS

EXT. OLDUVAI GORGE – DAY

The sun scorches the African savanna. Dust hangs in the air like prophecy.

JOHN STORM, lean, alert, crouches low over an excavation trench. A half-exposed skull protrudes from the ochre soil.

JOHN (to himself) 

Prominent brow... strong jaw...

He carefully brushes the dirt away, revealing more. His eyes flash.

JOHN (CONT’D) 

It’s real. Homo erectus.

He turns, shouting toward a distant figure.

JOHN (CONT’D)

Professor!

PROFESSOR ABIOYE, grizzled, skeptical, jogs over. One glance and his eyes widen.

ABIOYE

By the gods... you’ve done it.


SCENE: MEDIA FRENZY
EXT. DIG SITE – DAYS LATER

The camp teems with reporters, documentary crews, and photographers.

Flashbulbs pop. A BBC WORLD SERVICE reporter holds a microphone up to John.

REPORTER

Mr. Storm, the implications of your find?

JOHN

It could rewrite migration timelines... our understanding of early cognition... tool use... fire.

REPORTER

We hear you've also been compiling DNA from multiple species?

John hesitates. Cameras zoom in.

JOHN

It’s... a personal project. A genetic library. Cataloguing biodiversity.

REPORTER

Ambitious. Some say visionary. Others say... dangerous.

John says nothing. The crowd buzzes louder. Headlines flash:

“Modern-Day Noah?” “Boy Genius or Bio Maverick?” “John Storm Unearths Humanity—and Threatens It?”


SCENE: WHISPERS IN THE DUST
EXT. RIDGE OVERLOOKING CAMP – SUNSET

RUDOLF KESSLER, composed, surveying the scene beside KLAUS VON KOLREUTER, sharp-eyed, calculating.

KLAUS

The fossil isn’t the story anymore. He is.

KESSLER

A DNA archive... compiled by instinct?

KLAUS

Rare mind. Rare opportunity.

KESSLER

He won’t be easy to sway.

KLAUS (dry)

The Baron has ways.

SCENE: QUIET CONFRONTATION

EXT. CAMP OUTSKIRTS – NIGHT

John sketches in a weathered notebook. Footsteps approach.

KESSLER

John.

JOHN

Professor. Doctor. You caught me reflecting.

KLAUS

Unexpected spotlight, yes?

JOHN (smiles faintly)

Wasn’t the plan.

KESSLER

Your library. It’s impressive.

John freezes, cautious.

JOHN

It’s... a personal passion.

KLAUS

Passions shape history. What if yours could change it?

KESSLER

We believe your instincts have uncovered more than bones.

A long silence. John closes his notebook. The wind stirs the dust around them—quiet whispers in the air.

JOHN

That’s what I fear.



SCENE: BROADCASTING HOUSE LONDON – THE BIRD’S EYE VIEW

INT. BBC WORLD SERVICE NEWSROOM – EVENING

Rows of desks bathed in the flat glow of flickering fluorescents. Monitors hum. News tickers scroll by in muted urgency.

At one workstation, JILL BIRD, 40s, sharp-eyed and quietly curious, sits back in her chair. Her screen glows with dozens of headlines:

“Storm Breaks New Ground!” “DNA Collector Unearths Ancient Ancestor!” “Modern Noah Discovered at Olduvai!”

John Storm’s image—flushed, earnest—flickers across multiple tabs. Jill studies him, a fingertip resting on her lips.

JILL (softly)

You’re not just another digger, are you?

She scrolls through articles. Mentions of a ‘genetic library’ pop up. She leans forward, interest sharpening.

INT. JILL’S MEMORY – FLASHBACK

A young girl’s bedroom, walls lined with books about Egypt: pharaohs, pyramids, gods.

YOUNG JILL (V.O.) 

I’ll find Cleopatra’s tomb one day...

Back to Present:

INT. NEWSROOM – CONTINUOUS

She clicks on a video clip. John Storm’s voice fills her headphones—nervous but articulate. His eyes alight with purpose.

JOHN (ON SCREEN) 

...cataloguing DNA across species. It’s... it’s personal.

Jill listens, mesmerized. The newsroom around her fades away.

JILL (to herself)

Not your typical academic. No polish. Just... clarity.

She closes the tab, opens a search engine, types:

She pauses. Then adds:

John Storm DNA project

Her eyes flick to the clock. Her shift ended twenty minutes ago. She doesn’t care.

JILL (smiling faintly)

Maybe I missed the tomb... but I won’t miss the story.

She makes a note in her planner: FOLLOW UP – STORM / DNA LIBRARY

Her screen refreshes—new footage queued. Jill puts her headphones back on. Around her, the newsroom continues its rhythm. But she’s already somewhere else.

INT. THE SHARD – GEORGE FRANKS’ OFFICE – DAY

Sunlight floods a sleek, wood-paneled office high above London. The skyline glints through floor-to-ceiling windows. GEORGE FRANKS (60s), sharp-suited and silver-haired, sits behind a polished mahogany desk, sipping Earl Grey with lemon. A news report plays on his computer screen.

ON SCREEN: “LOCAL ARCHAEOLOGIST MAKES GROUNDBREAKING DISCOVERY” A younger JOHN STORM appears, dusty and triumphant beside a dig site.

GEORGE (smiling wryly) 
Well done, my boy.

He leans back, the leather chair creaking softly. He watches the screen a moment longer, then picks up the phone and dials.

INTERCUT – INT. DOUGLAS STORM’S STUDY – DAY

A cluttered, book-lined study somewhere in Australia. PROFESSOR DOUGLAS STORM (70s), eccentric and brilliant, answers the phone with a gruff bark.

DOUGLAS (V.O.)
Storm.

GEORGE 
Douglas? It’s George. Hope I’m not interrupting your contemplation of the universe.

DOUGLAS 
George! Always a pleasure. You’ve finally found that lost Rembrandt I told you about?

GEORGE 
Better than a Rembrandt.

DOUGLAS 
Now you’ve piqued my interest.

GEORGE 
Have you seen the news?

DOUGLAS 
News? I only follow the shipping forecast and cricket scores. What could possibly matter to a man of my advanced years?

GEORGE 
A certain young man with your surname. John Storm. Ring any bells?

A pause. Douglas straightens slightly.

DOUGLAS 
John? You’ve heard from him?

GEORGE Not directly. But he’s made quite a name for himself. Unearthed a Homo erectus skull in Tanzania. Front page stuff.

DOUGLAS (low whistle) 
Homo erectus, eh? The boy always had a nose for anthropology.

GEORGE 
And DNA. He’s collecting samples—building a genetic library, apparently.

Douglas leans back, eyebrows raised.

DOUGLAS 
A genetic library? That’s… ambitious.

GEORGE
He’s a regular Renaissance man. Archaeology, anthropology, genetics…

DOUGLAS (grinning) 
Takes after his grandfather. Jameson was a pioneer.

GEORGE
And left us that rather… unconventional will.

DOUGLAS
Don’t remind me. “The Storm Legacy.” Preposterous.

GEORGE
Maybe. But young John seems to be fulfilling it. Uncovering human history, decoding life itself… rather Storm-like, wouldn’t you say?

DOUGLAS (chuckling) 
I suppose it is. You’ve either brightened my day or ruined it. I’ll have to keep an eye on him.

GEORGE
I have a feeling this is just the beginning.

George hangs up, gazing out at the city. His expression is thoughtful, almost reverent.

GEORGE (V.O.) 
The Storm Legacy… eccentric, yes. But perhaps not so preposterous after all.

FADE OUT

WRATH OF THE GODS - 365BC destruction of Thonis and Alexandria, Anubis and Isis watch on in horror as Cleopatra is submerged.

ENIGMA - The birth of computers at Bletchley Park under Alan Turing, and his visits from Anubis and Isis, who see the potential in his ideas.

SYDNEY WILL READING - John's uncle Douglas vanished, declared dead, the adventurer inherits keys and a note from George Franks.

ANGEL OF DEATH - Anubis and Isis occupy Josef Mengele's and Adolf Hitler's subconscious as spirits steering their legacies.

INNER CIRCLE OF SIX - Joseph Mengele's Fourth Reich plans an escape to Brazil to develop Nazi-funded human research laboratories.

NELSON BAY - John visits the coordinates George gave him, to discover the Elizabeth Swann, ARK and Hal, AI computer.

BRAZIL BOUND - Doctor Death bargains for funding and logistics of relocation to Amazon South American base via Argentina.

NEW WORLD ORDER - A former Neo-Nazi plan to regenerate Aryan supremacy, develops into a cause for good.

REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE - Having reached the end of his PhD, William and Jane Bates have epiphanies, Will should follow his dream.

ROADBLOCK - Nobody would fund his R&D, William and Jane Bates are blanked by DARPA, computer and software houses.

THE AFTERLIFE - Cleopatra's tomb lay lost for centuries submerged and out of sight with little change of discovery.

QUANTUM LEAP - Jane and Will find backers, then US military and computer processor chip makers cyber attack, hack and bug them.

WASHING MACHINE - Inventor Franco Francisco comes up with the Incubus, artificial uterus concept while repairing his household appliance.

EXIT STRATEGY - Realising they will always be a target from industrial and military espionage, Jane & Will devise a cunning plan.

CYBERCORE GENETICA - Nano computer technology is purchased at an auction by a semi religious sect, New World Order.

INCUBUS - Roberta Ferrara secures the expertise of Franco Francisco for knights of the New World Order: Neuwelt Rittertum.

SPLICE - Klaus and Eva von Kolreuter find a way to live forever using cloning technology; Genonimo Investments, Geneva.

TREMORS - Cleopatra's feels vibrations after a shift in the tectonic plates triggered a tremor off the coast of Alexandria.

PANAMANIAN RUNNING MAN - The secret is out, an enhanced human is spotted running at unbelievable speeds.

THE ARK - NeuWelt Rittertum headhunt John Storm seeking access to his genetic DNA map of life on earth, but they fail to reach agreement.

MARJORIE BOYLE - Sam Hollis tracks down sexy backpacker, Majorie Boyle, to Brighton Point in Trinidad, beautiful Caribbean Island.

THE AMAZON - Charley agrees to meet John & Dan at Manaus, but is a little too inquisitive.

OPERATION LEVIATHAN - New World Knights, Klaus and Franco go to Plan 'B' to track and steal the Elizabeth Swann & The Ark DNA database.

TOMB RAIDERS - Safiya Sabuka and Musa Bomani dive among sifting sands to discover precious artifacts and golden treasures.

OPERATION ALEXANDRIA - Neo-Nazi occultists recover Cleopatra's sarcophagus from underwater tomb near Palace.

COASTGUARD PATROL - Safiya and Musa surface off Alexandria to a waiting customs vessel, they pretend to be sports divers fooling the officials.

UNESCO - Catholic Church fear grave desecration heritage theft, asks agencies for help. Interpol issue Red Notice.

KIDNAP - Charley is taken prisoner but John rescues her, in the process becoming injected with a serum.

SARCOPHAGUS OPENING - The wooden inner casket is opened revealing Cleopatra's mummy, golden crown and death mask, perfectly preserved.

AWAKENING - In the afterlife, the DNA extracted from Cleopatra's mummy triggers a divine stirring with Anubis and Isis comforting the Nile Queen.

REPLICANT - The Society reproduce Cleopatra using Francisco's RepliVator™, uploading synapse sequence and implanted memories.

BRAIN CONDITIONING - Klaus and Franco upload digitally recreated memories in historical order to trigger correct learned synapse firing sequence

REBORN - The former Queen of Egypt speaks for the first time to her creators, proving that her brain is working, the implants succeeded.

FULL STEAM AHEAD - Storm speeds to Thonis, then uses the Swann's AI sensors and the Ark database to find tomb has been plundered.

PROPOSAL - Baron von Richhofen's gambit, a union of Royal ancient and Aryan blood, for strength and intellect, a powerful heir as her successor

RITUAL SACRIFICE - The Baron prepares Cleopatra for ceremonial impregnation, but Anubis and Isis know the man with a solar boat cometh.

MANAUS TO ALEXANDRIA - A hydrogen powered race across the Atlantic Ocean in nine days, John Storm guided by Anubis and Isis.

SANCTUM INTERRUPTUS - John finds secret Nazi hideout near Alexandria, disturbs ritual - rescues Cleopatra, arresting conspirators.

THE CHOSEN ONE - The reincarnated Cleopatra falls for her rescuer. John comes under her spell, despite her being a replicant.

JESUS CHRIST - Cleopatra asks about this man. John, Dan & Hal explain he is an ancient religious preacher from Galilee, son of Yahweh, Hebrew god
